So, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in town. The first time a sitting Israel PM is visiting Singapore.

I don’t like the man. I don’t find him palatable at all. But I have no big issue  with regard to his visit to Singapore.

It is just business as usual for Singapore’s foreign policy – trying to be friends with everyone.

Yet, there are people here who are pretty damn angry about his visit here. In fact, there are probably people here who are pretty damn angry about anything Jewish.

And before they go on and on about condemning Netanyahu’s visit to Singapore, Israel, and possibly anything Jewish, perhaps they should take a step back and recall if they are using or if they have used any products or any services from the following companies:

  • Baskin-Robbins ice cream
  • Coach
  • Kenneth Cole
  • Sara Lee (yes, those frozen cakes in NTUC)
  • Gap
  • Mattel Toys, e.g. Barbie Doll
  • Calvin Klein
  • Michael Kors
  • Polo Ralph Lauren
  • Dunkin Donuts
  • Starbucks Coffee
  • Levis
  • Hyatt Hotel
  • Four Seasons

And finally:

  • Google
  • Facebook

The similarity between them?  They are all Jewish businesses, owned or founded by Jews.

And yes, of course not all these businesses are hawkish zionists. But the Jewish lobby in America is strong, and no doubt some of these influential businesses and personalities support Israel and Israel’s actions in some way or another.

At the end of the day, there’s nothing wrong with believing in what you believe in.

Just be consistent in your beliefs, especially when you feel so strongly about a particular issue.

Else, you’d end up being a hypocrite.

That is all.

The end.
